Impartiality Statement
CEAL Directors and senior management stress the importance of never compromising on our impartiality, independence, and integrity. Creating an awareness on these values is an important part of CEAL credentials.
CEAL ensures that none of its assignments will cause any conflict of interest which would hamper the impartial business practices.
CEAL shall not certify any product on which a Client has received management system consultancy for such product assessments from CEAL, or internal audits where the relationship between the organisation and CEAL poses an unacceptable threat to the impartiality of CEAL as a certification body.
CEAL shall not outsource machinery product certification to consultancy organisations.
To ensure that there are no conflicts of interest, personnel of CEAL, who have provided similar services or have been employed by the Client, are not used to take part in an audit or other certification activity, if they have been involved with the Client in question within two years following the end of the engagement.
All certification body personnel of CEAL, either internal or external and committees who could influence the certification activities, act impartially, and do not allow commercial, financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality.
CEAL shall consider taking appropriate action to respond to any threats to its impartiality that arise from the actions of persons, bodies, or organisations.
All personnel, internal or external, are required to reveal any situation known to them that may present them or CEAL with a conflict of interest.
